The GHIG portfolio touches on numerous technical areas. Below are a few examples of our more recent works. To see more, visit Areas of ‘Technical Expertise tab ubove
Understanding AMR
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a significant global health threat, challenging our ability to treat common infectious diseases. The Global Health Impact Group is dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of AMR.
Through comprehensive resources and partnerships, we aim to educate healthcare providers and the public on the critical role of effective antimicrobial stewardship and the urgent need for innovative solutions in diagnostics and treatment.
Fight Malaria
Malaria is a major cause of illness, death, and economic hardship in low- and middle-income countries that carry most of the burden. It can especially cause serious illness and death for both the pregnant woman and her baby.
The Global Health Impact Group and Africa CDC are committed to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality through awareness, advocacy, training, and knowledge sharing by understanding existing interventions and the role of malaria rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) as part of a prenatal package to improve outcomes of malaria in pregnancy and strengthen surveillance programs.
