IDC/LSHTM and GHIG have a long history of supporting diagnostics, testing and testing strategies in low- and middle-income countries through technical advice for product development, evaluations and implementation and reducing regulatory barriers through policy changes. COVID-19 has required us to fast-track through the many processes to bring quality diagnostics to market and leverage our agility, collaborations and partnerships to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SCIENCE AND EVIDENCE
- Produce peer reviewed publications and informational notes to disseminate cutting-edge scientific evidence
- Form global think tanks with key opinion leaders to gather anecdotal evidence and discuss best practices to address challenges
MARKET INTELLIGENCE
- Provide market readiness research to assess needs, demand and target audience
- Identify drivers for uptake and scalability
- Recommendation of target countries/regions
REGULATION AND POLICY
- Map regulatory pathways to better understand and lower barriers
- Develop resource and educational materials and support a platform to bring together regulators and policy makers
- Establish policy forums to address travel and border testing strategies
SCALE-UP OF TESTING
- Develop modeling exercises and mitigation strategies to accelerate the introduction of COVID-19 diagnostics where they are needed most
- Contribute to national and regional testing recommendations and policies
EVALUATIONS AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
- Leverage existing quality assurance programs and tools to support assured test results
- Support evaluations of potential tests using our biobanking and evaluation networks to expedite the process and provide geographical representation
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Create a global health continuing professional development educational platform (GHCPD) to support digital learning
- Curate and develop educational materials to support testing and policy making
